From Offer to Completion

 

Sold Subject to Contract 

When a prospective buyer makes an offer that suits you and you accept the offer, your property can be considered sold subject to contract. However, from this point onwards there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to exchange contracts and complete the sale.

 

Co-ordination & Communication

There are at least four parties involved in the sale to include yourself, your solicitors, the buyer and their solicitors. If the sale is part of a chain there will be more buyers, sellers and solicitors involved and could also include mortgage advisors and other agents. Therefore a lot of co-ordination and communication is required to keep things on track, and the process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

 

Keeping the Sale on Track

At this stage our experienced sales administrators will do the chasing for you; we will liaise with all the parties on a regular basis and keep you updated to make sure the sale stays on track until completion. At Chelton Brown we are extremely proud of our completion targeted dates being reached.
